Sorry I've been MIA in blogland.. I blame it alllll on Facebook for 'sucking' me in!!
My mother in law is here visiting for ten days..and already 6 days have past :( We've been just 'chillaxin'..and doing much of nothing..and ENJOYING it :)
I (we) will be sad to see her leave on thursday :( .. but hoping there may be a chance she can come back for Turkey day ::::Crossing my fingers:::::

For those of you who are bored..and wanting to go shopping.. but don't want to have to get dressed..do your makeup and hair..and fight traffic.. GOOD NEWS! you can do all your shopping, drooling and dreaming right from the chair you're sitting in now! These two pictures were from our day of exploring the mountains yesterday... it was soooo cool up there..in the fog and mist..and sooooo quiet!!! i loved it!!!

R & R time..and Giveaway Time!

Whew..
Now that all of the family health issues and concerns are slowly 'mending'.. Tim and I have decided to take off.. head to the desert...and even VEGAS baby! to spend some very much needed R&R time with each other..and friends!
Christy and her hubby are flying into Vegas on Thurs..and we'll meet up with them then..to parttttay away the weekend!!
I CANT WAIT!!
We'll also be stopping in Calico, CA to visit a Ghost Town and plan on doing some 'geocaching' !

This is "Gary" (Tim has his GPS that he named, "Martha"...well this is my GPS for when we go geocaching..and I've named him "Gary Garmin" hehehehe)

I hope to get lots of pics to share with you when we return :)

Mud & Snow...

what could POSSIBLY be MORE FUN???

The mountains have been dumped on..and the snow looks sooooo pretty :)

Tim and I took a ride around over the weekend..and decided to head up the mountain to Idyllwild to find snow to play in..and play we did :)
The trails were covered in snow..and much to our delite..we found MUD too :)

And found this man in Idyllwild carving this Bear ...isn't it amazing???

Then... that nite..we had VISITORS to our catfood dish out on our back patio!!!

Big Bear Blast!

Our trip to Big Bear was a blast! The jeep took us on trails up and around Big bear..and even way out into Yucca Valley! The sights were amazing..and we even spotted snow left here and there along the trail.
We passed thru some of the burn areas from last fall..and what an eerie feeling that was.. everything charred..and very quiet..almost like we were tip-toeing thru a graveyard.
The camper is now cleaned and put away..til next month when we head up to Yosemite again.. I can't wait as I've been waiting since last year to visit Yosemite in the Spring! Hopefully the waterfalls will be gushing and the bears will be awakening :)

While the days grow longer...so do my gray hairs and wrinkles...lol..
so i created some digital art to reflect a positive affirmation i have to keep telling myself:

Desert Adventures...

Hub and I took off last thursday and headed into the Anza Borrego desert again to Play :)
The jeep survived her maiden voyage and tow'd just fine... I was a nervous wreck tho.. and had to keep checking the camera to make sure he was still back there!

One day I will relax.


We trail'd and hiked ..and got to see some Pictographs left by Indians many moons ago! That was really cool...and lots of Morteros (grinding stones) ..which they use to grind their food on.

Then our Jeep took us over a 'moderate' off road trail thru Oriflamme Canyon ..which was a lil scary in some parts... steep rocky paths.. switchbacks..and obstacles in the way... but the views were amazing! And.. the feeling of being out in the middle of nature..with no one around for miles makes ya feel like a true explorer

(ok..so we weren't totally alone.. we did take along trusty 'Martha".. you remember her..dont ya?? My husbands "other woman".. hehehe.. Martha is a GPS system that tim just Lovesssssss) lol

Tomorrow we're heading up to Big Bear to explore up there and hit the trails!! So I'll be back in a few days to post pics of that trip..
In the meantime..if anyone knows where I can find "jeep" fabric.. (i'd like navy blue background..with jeep jeep jeep written allll over it).. I'd appreciate the help. I've searched.. but so far.. no luck.
Although..i did find this cute tank top on Ebay.. " Go Topless!!!"
and sexy lil thongs!! I just might have to get them! ;)

been playing...

... we went to Vail Lake last weekend..and had fun playing in the hills and wildflowers..

and also with our new 'toy'.. a Jeep!

Now we will be able to tow it behind the rv..and be able to go exploring on our little trips that we take! Im soooo excited! :)
There's been times on our trips we would have liked a car to get into town or to go exploring with..and sometimes those things are just too far to do on a bicycle. Well..we found a used Jeep at a local dealership here and just had to jump on it!
Now Tim will have something to play with and 'trick out'.. he can't wait to start pimpin' his ride! lol
This new toy brings back such great memories.... Tim used to have a 1949 Willies jeep when we were dating..and we used to have SOOOO much fun getting into trouble with that thing!!
I don't know how many farmers back-40's we've plowed thru..or some real deep mud pits that we had to be pulled outta..and rock piles we've climbed over..and even slammed it into a snowbank once (not on purpose)..and ended filling the back end of the poor jeep with a bunch of snow from hitting the bank!
ahhhhhhhh...the fun...
I think we'll take much better care of this one tho... and no snowbanks to run into lol
